Good Time Brass X CASMEC and TMEA

Good Time Brass is honored to present at both the California All-State Music Education Conference (CASMEC) and the Texas Music Educators Association Clinic and Convention (TMEA) 2027! We’re excited to showcase our work at these two great conferences.

At CASMEC, we will offer a clinic titled Arranging as an Educational Tool: Revitalizing Brass Chamber and Student Engagement. Good Time Brass is passionate about expanding brass chamber repertoire through arranging, and as music educators we also use arrangements to teach the next generation of musicians. We look forward to providing guidelines and tools for arranging in one’s own educational space at this conference.

At TMEA, we will perform a Music Showcase on the convention floor. Our program will feature our distinct group sound through innovative repertoire, including jazz-inspired arrangements and original works by native Texan Austin Ali. This opportunity to showcase our music to a brand new audience and build relationships in San Antonio is truly special.

Good Time Brass -Summer House Parties!

Good Time Brass and friends played a number of gatherings recently, and will continue that trend into the summer! Highlights from Spring include a 1st Birthday at the Valley Hunt Club in Pasadena, and a house party through Groupmuse in Mar Vista! Keep an eye out for more Groupmuse events coming soon over Summer, and reach out if you’d like us to play at your gathering!

“Cowboy Bebop” – Live Show and Album recording

Good Time Brass will perform their debut show “Cowboy Bebop” in a live recording session! This unique program fuses Western soundtracks with Contemporary Jazz works through new originals and arrangements. Pieces include “The Good The Bad and The Ugly”, “Iron Horse” by Kevin McKee, and “Tank” from the Cowboy Bebop soundtrack

The Good, The Brass & The Ugly: A Rootin’ Tootin’ Evening with LAB-A – Featured Performance

Good Time Brass from the Wild West(side) of Los Angeles will join LAB-A for a Western-themed Brass Concert! Works for the evening will include arrangements of Ennio Morricone, Bruce Broughton, Elmer Bernstein, John Williams and others.
